This client is a global sports media company with a distinctive identity, operating model and culture. They needed to hire a high-calibre finance professional, ideally from one of the Big Four audit firms, who could seamlessly fit into one of its teams.
They had interviewed multiple candidates over a two month period but had so far been unable to find a candidate who shared the same cultural values and who was of sufficient calibre. When we were asked to help them find suitable candidates, our first step was to meet the team, understand the business, and understand the culture and what it demands from their teams.
Using our extensive network, our solution was to profile potential candidates currently employed by the Big Four to find a match. We made contact with a candidate from one of the Big Four who was not actually seeking a new role at that time, but after hearing about the passion and the culture of the team at this client they agreed to a first stage interview. The client’s team was so impressed that the candidate was taken through to second stage that morning, with the role being offered and accepted the following day.
The entire process from initial briefing to the candidate accepting an offer was two weeks, completing the team and increasing its effectiveness within the business. Since then, we have been working with the same company to source talent for numerous new assignments and vacancies.
