This is a Global multi-billion-dollar private equity business who operate across several different industries including Real Estate, Transportation, Energy and Specialty Finance.
This is an incredibly progressive and ambitious business that aims to find people who are equally ambitious and driven. They are now into their third decade as a business and they continue to grow at an exceptional rate. They do not believe in layers in the sense that they want employees at all level to add value. The company culture is hardworking but incredibly down to earth and there is a support network that will allow already strong candidates to get to the next level.
Whilst it is not a front office role it is hugely involved in the pre- and post-deal operations. They will partner very closely with the front office guys to make sure that what they are agreeing or hoping to agree makes sense for the business. This could be from a legal perspective/ tax compliance/ deal valuation perspective/ SPV control/ generally ensuring that the overall process of a deal is running smoothly. From a valuations perspective it’s all about re-valuating the deal; whether that be pre -investment closing, understanding the how and why and improving communication and building relationships.
The Directors describe the role as technical project management. The perfect individual will have enough of a technical understanding to perform within the front office role but wants to take a step back and actively support the process of the deal as a co-ordinator. There is a great opportunity for someone to work on multiple deals across different business functions and business areas with a lot of interaction with MD of Deals and valuations and Directors within the business.
